Important Information

Founded in 1845, Queen’s University Belfast is one of the oldest and most respected universities in the UK. They are a member of the prestigious Russell Group (24 research intensive universities) which has been compared to the US Ivy League as an indicator of academic quality and reputation. US students choose Queen’s for a variety of reasons – their focused 3 year Bachelors degrees, the lower cost of studying and living, or reconnecting with their heritage on the island of Ireland. Located in Belfast, Northern Ireland students can take full advantage of a young, vibrant city at their doorstep. Queen’s offers 220+ outstanding degrees ranging from Aerospace Engineering to Film Studies & Production to Marine Biology to Politics (and beyond!), several of which have test-flexible entry requirements. Many degrees have built in work placement opportunities. Multiple scholarships – and affordable student accommodation – are widely available.
