Counselor Information
See the US high school diploma guide (https://go.unimelb.edu.au/b276) and IB diploma guide (https://go.unimelb.edu.au/qj4i) for reference.
Semester 1 runs from February to June and semester 2 from July to November. Most degrees provide the flexibility to start in either semester, as orientation and core classes are held every semester. Graduating from the US in May or June, students can apply for the mid-year intake but then apply to defer to start in February of the following year. Deferrals are common in Australia, providing students with a mini gap year. Melbourne guarantees campus housing for students.
Both of the North America staff, Todd St Vrain and Julia Jerving have studied in the US and Australia. Please reach out with any questions at [email protected] or book a meeting with either of them at http://go.unimelb.edu.au/2eci.
